(no subject)

Earth holidays don't seem strange or foreign to me anymore. Last weekend was "Mother's Day", and celebrating it didn't seem weird at all-- it was normal, even though we didn't have anything like it in the Fire Nation.

You could make the argument that I've been here for too long, but I'm still not convinced it's a bad thing.

No worries :)

I can't say I blame you for that one.

I don't think anyone in their right mind could.

Oh I can think of one or two. But for the most part, I think people would agree with you.

Especially high-school age kids.

Definitely. Health's bad enough as it is.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad I never had to actually take it.

[identity profile] littlemissaria.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh you didn't? They don't teach health in your world, during...I guess school? Or the equivalent?

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It was considered something that should be handled in the home.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Earth is very concerned with taking care of anything and everything at school, though. At least, that's how it seemed during that virus.

[identity profile] littlemissaria.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. I'm not sure I'd rely just on what school teaches in that respect. It's all very...basic.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Where do you get the less basic stuff, then? Books?

[identity profile] littlemissaria.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, or the internet. Or parents, if we're lucky enough to have parents who we can actually discuss that stuff with.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't everything on the internet lewd and disgusting? At least where that subject is concerned.

[identity profile] littlemissaria.livejournal.com 2011-05-15 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Not all of it. Just...most of it. But not if you know where to look.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-05-15 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I'd rather not take my chances.

[identity profile] littlemissaria.livejournal.com 2011-05-15 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably safer not to.
