{FAILED LOCK TO KAREN}

So, Karen. I've been meaning to ask you about something you said when you came to visit me a day or so ago- you know, the time when you unplugged one of my medical machines, and then attempted to smother me with a pillow. Do you have a moment?

{LOCKED- because she doesn't want anyone to actually see the discussion}

Did you seriously expect that little stunt to prove something to me? If it had been an actual attempt I probably would have been impressed, but in this case you really just came off as childish.

OOC: And the failed lock was actually on purpose this time, of course.

If nothing else, it proved my original point. I clearly had the ability to kill you, and so did anyone else who walked into that room. Yet here you are, alive.

[Meanwhile, Karen has given Azula a hug. Progress!]

Physically, yes. Mentally, however...

OOC: I would have lol'd if she had pretended to be her girlfriend. XD

Mentally, it wouldn't be the first time.

[Well, Azula's the one who came up with their relationship first.]

I seriously doubt that you've killed in the past. You don't have the mindset for it.

Really. Who did you kill?

Nobody you'd know.

I'm interested in a name. Was it a human?
oceanicbutterfly: (nightmare!)

Names, huh? Girinma and Arachnea. Nightmares.

I suppose it depends on how you define humanity.

Biologically. I'm not looking for a philosophical argument about how "evil" people aren't human, thank you.

I wasn't planning on one. But I haven't really had the chance to study their biology. All of them appear human in at least one of their forms. They can transform for combat, but I'm hardly in a position to question that.

They may be a humanlike species similar to some of the ones seen on the community.

... Hm. It appears that in this case- and in this case only- I underestimated you.

Though I'm still one up on you.

Don't brag to me about how many people you've killed.

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I wasn't talking about the number- I was referring to the fact that I have killed humans, while you've only killed humanoids. While even that is more than I would have suspected you capable of, I doubt that you would be able to bring yourself to kill an actual human.
oceanicbutterfly: (kyon-ish wtf)

Some of my best friends aren't actual humans.

Still, one would think that it'd be easier to kill someone who isn't of your own species.

But is indistinguishable in appearance and behavior?

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't there some sort of psychological factor? I wouldn't know; it's as easy for me to kill one as it is the other.
oceanicbutterfly: (thoughtful)

I wouldn't know. I haven't tried, after all.

Nothing.
