This place is certainly interesting- and I'm not just talking about the "different worlds" aspect. The vast amount of information stored here is really quite impressive. We have libraries in the Fire Nation, of course; excellent ones- and yet none of them come close to holding the amount of stuff stored in this mysterious database. Obviously, the worth of what we store is far greater- quality is more important; not just anything is worthy of being preserved for posterity. "Fan fiction" about members of the royal family, for instance- even if written with the best of intentions, which most of the writing stored here isn't- is more likely to be ignored or destroyed than kept in a library.

I've been looking back over some of the myriad of conversations I've had since I first discovered this place. The ability to do that is so convenient. You never know- I might find something useful; something I overlooked the first time around. I doubt it, though- I rarely overlook things.

I sent you to Wikipedia's database, correct? He doesn't just store information on my world.

Truthfully, I haven't bothered looking for anything else.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I haven't spent much time there either.

Any particular reason why you're so interested in my world?

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I've not looked at it since the last time we talked about it, really. It kind of takes the mystery out of things, don't you agree? Then again, you definitely seem the type to want information at hand, so you'd make more use of such things than I.

As for your world, the trouble between you and those others isn't much concern to me. I have enough battles in my own world to fight. It's not your world that interests me, as much as some of the people from it. Same with some others, like Tyki. Tyki is my friend, but I don't need to know about his fight with the exorcists.

Any information they have on my world is information that I already know.

And which people are you interested in?

Toph is fun to spar with. I also wisk to spar with other types of benders, if I find them. You only grow as a fighter by facing those with abilities you aren't familiar with, and I'm always learning.

You're also quite interesting, Princess.

The dirty little earthbending girl?

I figured as much.

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
That's an accurate assessment, though I doubt she'd enjoy hearing it like that.

At least this traveling might do you some good.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an accurate assessment, and that is what matters.

Oh?

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Seeing some of the ways other people live, and all that.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You think I've never done that before?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
This isn't my first off-world trip.

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm willing to bet you haven't been doing it for a long time, though.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course not. I only discovered this community last spring.

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is just what I said. That's all I meant by it!

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Did I imply that you meant more?

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You can be a bit temperamental, at times.

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Come now. Even you had to admit it, Princess.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
I'm easily irritated by inadequacy and stupidity. I'm not temperamental.

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
But seem to find just about everyone inadequate or stupid, in some regard.
