(no subject)

Yesterday a man whose name I didn't catch offered to share a glass of wine with me. Since I suspected that he had more than friendly conversation and possible information-gathering on my part in mind, I asked him if he was aware of my age. It turns out that he thought that I was over twenty-one. Now, I realize that I do look a bit older than fifteen, but really- twenty-one is a bit extravagant, isn't it?

... Paris is quite lovely.

OOC: And there's a possibility that one of these miiiiight be sitting on Ty Lee's pillow in the hotel room when she wakes up in the morning. Azula has no idea how it got there, really. >.>

...because I'm concerned? Just because you're you doesn't mean I want bad things to happen to you.

[locked]

That, and of course I'd rather you didn't do anything that might loosen your lips.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that's quite foolish of you, isn't it?

{LOCKED}

I am far more intelligent and responsible than you give me credit for, little girl.
oceanicbutterfly: (mad)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You think I should want something to happen to you?

[locked]

Can you blame me for not wanting to take a chance? And you're barely older than me.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Why not?

{LOCKED}

My age is irrelevant. Given all that I have accomplished, implications that I would allow myself to be coerced- or manipulated, or tricked, etcetera- by anyone or anything is simply insulting.
oceanicbutterfly: (student council)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
--what do you mean, why not? I don't want bad things to happen to anyone.

[locked]

It doesn't matter what you've accomplished. You can still make mistakes, especially in an unfamiliar situation.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean just that- why not? If I wanted to, I could make very bad things happen to you. I already have made very bad things happen to other people. What sort of "superhero" are you if you don't want me out of the picture?

{LOCKED}

I don't allow for mistakes, and I never go into any situation without adequately preparing myself ahead of time.
oceanicbutterfly: (stop being an idiot)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, first of all, how would that take you "out of the picture"?

Second, there are a lot of people who are dangerous and have done bad things. That doesn't mean they deserve everything that could happen to them. There are things I don't think should happen to anyone. You know that already, because you already know what one of those things is--losing all your friends.

[locked]

Third, while I'd thank you to not use the term to describe me in unlocked posts, I'm not a "superhero."

And you have made mistakes.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
It's people like you that I take advantage of, you know.

{LOCKED}

For all they know I could have been using the term metaphorically. You certainly act like you think you're one often enough.

Hardly.
oceanicbutterfly: (can't help you)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[locked]

All the same, I'd rather not give people any more "hints" than are strictly necessary.

Memories.

[And wow, I don't know whether it's the secret from last night, the conversation, or just my dirty mind, but I read "take advantage of" in a completely different way than Azula meant it.]

{LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
And for your information, I know nothing about "losing all my friends".

Stop bringing that up. And it wasn't, strictly, a mistake.

OOC: There's no reason it can't be because of all three! :D And how do you know that's not how she meant it? >.>

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what you always kept thinking I was trying to do to you.

You're the one who keeps saying you don't make mistakes. And it was.

[This is true! This is also true.]

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It's the way you act. People who are far less self-righteous and insinuating than you have gotten it into their heads that Ty Lee needs to be "rescued".

It wasn't.
oceanicbutterfly: (you!)

Re: {LOCKED}

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if you've noticed yet, but I don't want that to happen.

It made her unhappy, everyone's reactions left you confused, and it didn't even work. Exactly how is that "not a mistake"?

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
So you say now.

I wasn't confused. Everything was less confusing. Everything made perfect sense; I was perfectly in control. Everything was the way it really should be.

... And she didn't seem at all unhappy when I talked to her without my memories. The only thing that bothered her was that I didn't distinguish her from her sisters anymore. That could have been solved by not talking to me at all. She could have easily gotten over it.
oceanicbutterfly: (you die now)

Re: {LOCKED}

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It's true. ...you think I would have a good reason to change my mind?

You thought everyone was trying to convince you you knew her. There's no way that's how things should be.

...You really think it's that simple? Ty Lee was putting on her strong face, because she thought it was what you would want. She loves you, and you forgot her. That's not something people can just easily get over.

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I imagine that someone like you would consider the nature of who I am to be a good enough reason.

Of course I did. I was quite irritated by it, but hardly confused. How would you know? You've probably always had people that you... cared about. You don't know how much easier things are when you don't have that problem.

...
oceanicbutterfly: (you!)

Re: {LOCKED}

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I would, if I didn't know you actually cared about her.

...sure. ...

Have you even apologized?

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Tsk.

I wasn't.

...

...

You really don't know whether she was just "putting on her strong face" or not. And she wouldn't have been doing "what I would have wanted", because I wasn't even really there to see it.
oceanicbutterfly: (headache)

Re: {LOCKED}

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
...

You really don't get it, do you?

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Fine, then. If you feel that you're so enlightened, then explain it to me.
oceanicbutterfly: (thoughtful)

Re: {LOCKED}

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-13 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know what else I can tell you. She loves you. You already know what it's like to think someone you love is rejecting you.

Re: {LOCKED}

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, she interpreted my reactions wrong. I interpreted hers correctly.
