{FORWARD-DATED} to after both her ongoing RLs

I've been strangely social lately. I've had people over, I've gone to visit others, and I've apparently been invited to join in on some sort of movie night. Not only would this not have happened three years ago-- before I joined the community-- I don't think it would even have happened one year ago.

I haven't really changed that much, have I? I don't think I have.

I never did anything with most of my classmates outside of school.

And even before, I'd do things with a few people here; the ones I was close to. Just nothing with so many people in such short a time.

But you did some things with at least one or two of them, didn't you? Besides, it's the beginning of summer. It's a season when people end up wanting to get together and do things, take advantage of the longer days, enjoy the weather, stay inside and escape the weather...

I had two friends as a child, so yes, I did things with them.

Normally I've spent time with my new family when I want to be social.

...

In any case, maybe you have changed.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Just because I found a better family?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think that necessarily means that I changed. It just means that my life changed.

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't that change you, too?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
... A little. Not too much, necessarily.

You don't want to have changed, do you?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'm all right with having changed in some ways.

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
But, you don't like the idea of becoming too social. Lone wolf syndrome?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't say that. I just think it's a little odd, that's all.

What's lone wolf syndrome?

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
It's not any sort of official term. It just seems you're not used to... people. Depending on them or enjoying them in general.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
... No, I'm not. Not most people, anyway.

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'd think of it as a good thing.

I was talking about becoming a more social person. Self-sufficiency's a good trait, but man's advanced as he has thanks to socialization.

I was always taught to operate differently. I've determined that few exceptions here and there are fine, but I don't know if it would be a good idea to develop more.
