"You're the one who's been avoiding me. I've been here the entire time."
Is she aware that Demona was not slinking around, deliberately avoiding her out of fear? Of course. Is she going to bait her like this regardless? Absolutely. The woman clearly needs to be put in her place.
With a noise split somewhere between a hiss and a cat's yowl, Demona extends her claws and dashes forward. She'll swipe at Azula's pretty face, hoping to leave ugly gashes.
Unfortunately for Demona, Azula's fast; she dodges to the left, and in one quick movement, summons up her fire. She whips a curl of flame right at Demona, close enough for her to feel the heat.
"Not sorcery," Azula taunts, firing up another ball of flame. "Firebending."
And she doesn't go easy on Demona, even after realizing how mismatched they are in terms of power. She doesn't kill her - she's not aiming to - but she aims to leave her with one good burn mark in a noticeable place, such as an arm.
Under different circumstances, Demona might have liked to ask more. Is it possible to learn this skill? However, they are past the point of such conversation.
No matter how many times Azula proves to be the more agile of two of them, Demona foolishly presses the attack. And she receives quite the burn for her pride. A long lash of fire that travels from her collar bone, down her left arm sends her sprawling with a pained scream.
"Well," she pants, clutching at her arm, "Aren't you going to finish the job?"
She steps back from Demona, casually examining her nails. "My goal was to beat you, not to kill you. You haven't earned a killing. Be grateful for that."
"So you still haven't learned your lesson?" she says mockingly. "I can't wait. But you've kept me long enough, and I have plans this evening. Sleep well, Demona. I hope that arm doesn't hurt too much."
Demona huffs a breath in defeated annoyance but stays otherwise silent.
She'll wait until Azula has gone, then haul herself up, gritting her teeth against the agony in her arm. It will only be for tonight. She will endure it. Now, all that is left is to reach her cabin before anyone has a chance to witness this shame.
Still gripping her useless limb, she sets off slowly down the corridor.
Re: [SPAM]
"You're even more insolent in person. No one puts me on a leash."
Lark may not be happy with this, but Demona did warn him. She'll do as she pleases.
"Is talking all you know how to do?"

Re: [SPAM]
She'll beat you when she's good and ready.

Re: [SPAM]
"What? More sorcery?" But Azula is a fellow inmate! How can she still have this power?
[SPAM] zoom to the end as discussed?

Re: [SPAM]
She was taken by surprise this time. That's all! Next time she'll be ready.
"Watch your back."
